Welcome, one and all, to the web page of the Annual Pro-Fun Troll Quadrilles and Hoedowns. (the what?)
A Pro-Fun Troll Party is held approximately each year on one or another of the internet forums connected to the television series Doctor Who. Each party is an exercise in collaborative storytelling, with the participants contributing pieces of the tale of “what’s happening at the Pro-Fun Troll Party this year”.
The most recent Pro-Fun Troll Party began on 30 January 2006. It is
being held, for the first time, on LiveJournal.
The party is currently in progress at

All welcome!
The inaugural Pro-Fun Troll Hoedown was held on the newsgroup rec.arts.drwho, and ran from
24 May 2000 to 17 June 2000.
Paul Andinach compiled the transcript:
It sparked off a couple of round robins on alt.drwho.creative, set in that newsgroup’s shared environment “This Time Round”, which have their own site. The TTR round robins saw the first appearance of some characters who showed up at the next hoedown.
The second Pro-Fun Troll Hoedown was held on rec.arts.drwho from 25 May 2001 to
31 November 2001.
Special thanks to Igenlode Wordsmith, who in addition to a large
contribution to the story itself also shouldered the burden of putting together the
transcript.

The third Pro-Fun Troll Hoedown was held on alt.drwho.creative, and ran from 31 July
2002 to 17 November 2002.
Imran Inayat volunteered to do the transcript
this time out.
Spin-off stories are listed under “Additional resources”.
The first Joyful Troll Quadrille (the fourth Pro-Fun Troll Party) was held on
alt.drwho.creative between 24 June 2003 and 13 March 2004.
As a change from
the run of hoedowns, the party was built around a quadrille (a kind of formal
nineteenth-century square-dance).
Igenlode Wordsmith compiled the transcript, and then
Paul Andinach changed it a lot.
Spin-off stories are listed under “Additional resources”.
